MCC THEATER PRIORITIZES THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF EVERYONE WHO ENTERS OUR DOORS.

UPDATED COVID POLICY

In our continuing efforts to create as safe an environment as possible, we have updated our COVID-19 policy with guidance from the CDC and NYS Department of Health. We are requiring that everyone who visits and works in the Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space provide proof of full vaccination and proof of having received a booster, if eligible, and remain masked at all times while in our theater space.

If you received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, you are eligible for a booster 5 months after completing your primary vaccination series.  If you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you are eligible for a booster 2 months after completing your primary vaccination.  If you received the AstraZenca vaccine, you are eligible for a booster 6 months after completing your primary vaccination series.

All audience members will need to provide proof of full vaccination and booster, if eligible, along with a government-issued photo ID with matching name at the point of building entry on performance date.

Proof of vaccination and booster can be shown with one of the following:

  • your vaccination card;
  • photo of your vaccination card;
  • or via an official governmental mobile app or website; NYS residents or those who received a vaccination in NYS may present proof of vaccination via the Excelsior Pass app. For more information about the Excelsior Pass please visit https://epass.ny.gov.

If you are not yet eligible for a booster and provide proof of full vaccination, you will still be permitted to attend performances.

Masks must be worn at all times in the building. KN95/N-95 masks provide the strongest protection against COVID-19 and are strongly encouraged for audience members.

Guests 16 and older need to show photo ID and proof of vaccination and booster, if eligible. Guests under 16 need to be fully vaccinated and accompanied by an adult who adheres to MCC’s policy of full vaccination and boosted.

As MCC seeks to make our theater more accessible to all, setting an appropriate and effective health and safety plan has been challenging. At this time MCC will not make exceptions for in-person attendees who are not vaccinated and boosted if eligible, regardless of the reason. We understand if you are unable to receive the vaccine, and we regret that we are not able to welcome you to a performance at this time. If necessary, we are happy to refund the price of your ticket.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

If you are not feeling well, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the last 14 days, or have been instructed to self-quarantine within the last 10 days we ask that you stay home. We will be happy to exchange your ticket(s) to another performance date within the run free of charge, credit the ticket amount to your account for a future ticket purchase, or process a full refund. You may also donate the cost of your ticket back to the theater. Simply call our box office at 646-506-9393 or email us at boxoffice@mcctheater.org

WHAT WE’RE DOING

We have expanded our safety initiatives by installing a Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization (NPBI) technology system, upgrading our HVAC system with MERV 14 & MERV 15 filters, placing standing HEPA filters throughout the building, as well doubling the facility deep cleaning schedule, and going contactless with digital ticket scanning and digital playbills, among other efforts.
