THE BOB LUPONE FUND FOR ARTISTIC & AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT

Click to learn more about The Bob LuPone Fund for Artistic & Audience Development.

The Bob LuPone Fund for Artistic & Audience Development will support new play development and outreach initiatives to develop new audiences at MCC Theater, the theater company Bob co-founded and continuously co-led beginning in 1986.

This past August marked one year since the passing of MCC Theater’s co-founder and Co-Artistic Director, Bob LuPone. Today we are asking you to help us honor Bob’s legacy by making a gift to The Bob LuPone Fund for Artistic & Audience Development.

Earlier this year at a memorial celebrating Bob’s life, we announced the formation of the Bob LuPone Fund for Artistic & Audience Development. The Bob LuPone Fund supports the development of the next generation of theater makers and audience members who will shape the future of this artform we cherish, which was Bob’s passion and life’s work.

Your fully tax-deductible gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation, up to $150,000.

To date, this match has inspired others to give a combined total of $80,000, which means we still have $70,000 to secure to meet this challenge. We hope you will help us get there!

Your gift, matched dollar-for-dollar by the King Family Foundation, will make a big impact on MCC’s work with artists coordinated with our efforts to expand and diversify the audience for exciting new plays and musicals for years to come.

In the last few months since its inception, the Bob LuPone Fund has supported the development of two new plays, three new musicals, and innovative outreach that brought hundreds of first-time ticket buyers to MCC for our recent productions of WOLF PLAY and BEES & HONEY. In the season ahead, the Bob LuPone Fund will support workshops for multiple plays and musicals and help us launch new accessibility initiatives including child-care matinees, additional sensory-friendly experiences, and other audience development activities.

Please consider making a contribution to The Bob LuPone Fund for Artistic & Audience Development today.  If you were unable to join us for the Memorial Celebration of the Life of Bob LuPone, it’s now available on YouTube and we have included a link above to this wonderful event honoring our dear friend and much missed collaborator.
