MCC Theater’s annual Miscast gala is one of the most exciting and unique theater events in town. Broadway’s hottest stars perform songs from roles in which they would never be cast. And the results are thrilling!
Each year hundreds of guests and sponsors gather for this singular evening of cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions, and, of course, the one-of-a-kind revue at the heart of the event.
Performers from past years include Norbert Leo Butz, Faith Prince, Cheyenne Jackson, Raúl Esparza, Kelli O'Hara, Brian D'Arcy James, Steven Pasquale, Jane Krakowski, and Jesse L. Martin. Special guests have included Helen Mirren, Chris Noth, Judith Light, Piper Perabo, Ian McShane, Edward Albee, Kathleen Turner, Julianna Margulies, Lynn Redgrave, Charles Busch, Rosemarie DeWitt, Billy Baldwin, Jerry Stiller, Elizabeth Ashley, Mo Rocca, Isaac Mizrahi, and many more.
Funds raised from Miscast help MCC Theater produce some of the most talked-about
new work Off-Broadway and support our Youth Company and in-school partnerships that serve New York City public high school students, as well as our literary development work with emerging playwrights.
