Box Office Assistants – PART TIME

MCC Theater, the award-winning off-Broadway company that has recently produced School Girls; or The African Mean Girls Play, The Legend of Georgia McBride, Hand to God, Punk Rock, among others over its 30+ years, seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, part-time Box Office Assistants to join MCC’s staff. MCC Theater will be opening The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space in the Winter of 2018, featuring two state-of-the-art theaters, The Newman Mills Theater (245 seats) and The Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater (100 seats), designed to accommodate both traditional and non-traditional stagings.

This audience services team member will report directly to the Director of Audience Services while working very closely with the Ticketing Manager and play a vital role at managing relationships with MCC audiences, including Subscribers and Single Ticket Buyers.

The ideal candidates will have prior box office experience.  Experience and familiarity with Spektrix preferred.

Must be able to work a minimum of 5 shifts a week while in production.  There are 20 shifts per week to be shared amongst 4 Box office assistants.

The position will communicate directly with colleagues in other departments including, Company Management, General Management, Marketing and Development and production teams.


  • Provide exceptional service to MCC audiences, including ticket exchanges, benefit delivery, and information on productions throughout our season via phone, email,and in person at the Box Office window
  • Assist in processing ticket and membership orders
  • Work closely with the Ticketing Manager to process, prepare and print tickets for pre-show box office pick up for performances and special events
  • Prepare post-show box office reports

Start date: Immediately


Tuesday – Sunday while in production: 4.5 hour blocks: 12pm-4:30pm and 4:30pm – 9pm

Monday – Friday while not in production: 3 hour blocks: 12pm – 3pm and 3pm – 6pm

Pay: $15/hr
